we have spent so much time on the road in the last month. we knew it was coming, but the toll it took on my body and spirit still surprised me. in the midst of it all, we knew we needed a family getaway. we had planned a weekend in bismarck, but jared booked a surprise for us! he found a lodge outside bismarck and rented it for the weekend. it was a fully restored old farmhouse, just beautiful! we had so much fun - we watched the olympics and some movies, we played games, we ate good food, and just spent fun time together. here are a few pictures:

we had a great time. now gearing up for a large group this weekend. they're nervous about food, lodging, etc, so hopefully we'll go over the top to make them comfortable, happy and confident in us and in camp. night friends!
